Young Eagles star Reuben Ginbey faced court on Wednesday following his charges at a music festival earlier this month and has been sanctioned a $1000 fine and spent conviction.

Ginbey was charged for urinating in a public place and failing to comply with WA police by not providing his personal details on January 4, during the Wildlands Festival in Joondalup.

Appearing at Joondalup Courthouse, Ginbey pled guilty to the two charges of disorderly conduct and failing to comply with police directions.

In a club statement, Ginbey said he was remorseful for his actions and for not upholding the standards at the club.

โ€œI would like to apologise for my actions. They were not to the standard that I expect of myself, or others expect of me,โ€ Ginbey said.

It seems that Ginbey will not face further sanctioning from the club, including the possibility of match suspension, as general manager Gavin Bell revealed the club have fully addressed the matter.

โ€œOur support for Reuben will be ongoing, and we will continue educating and holding our players to the values and behaviours that we expect of each other,โ€ Bell said.

Richmond defender Noah Balta is expected to appear in court on Thursday following his assault charge received after an incident outside a pub on December 30.

Unlike Ginbey, Balta has been suspended for Richmond's first four home and away matches, with court sanctions to be determined in his case's hearing today.
