The Lions went one better than 2019 - they managed to win a huge final over the Tigers before going out in the preliminary final, a home one of that.
They were unable to capitalise on a once in a lifetime opportunity, the grand final was played on their home deck and they were unable to participate.
A year littered with poor goal kicking, the Lions are primed to challenge for the flag again in 2021 but will need to make drastic improvements in front of the big sticks to win it all.
2. WORST LOSS
Preliminary Final vs Geelong: After that terrific win mentioned above, many believed it was the Lions' right to play in the first grand final at the GABBA. However, come preliminary final night, the Lions were no match for the Cats. They were outplayed from start to finish and were never really in the game. It was a disappointing end to a good year.
