The Lions went one better than 2019 - they managed to win a huge final over the Tigers before going out in the preliminary final, a home one of that.
They were unable to capitalise on a once in a lifetime opportunity, the grand final was played on their home deck and they were unable to participate.
A year littered with poor goal kicking, the Lions are primed to challenge for the flag again in 2021 but will need to make drastic improvements in front of the big sticks to win it all.
5. NEEDS TO LIFT
Oscar McInerney: The Big 'O' had a pretty good season for the Lions, however, Stefan Martin has now departed for pastures new and McInerney is the number one ruck now. He has to lift his output and needs be consistent because the midfield is relying on him to help supply them with first access to the ball.
