Geelong had high hopes going into season 2020, hoping to right the wrongs of their 2019 prelim final exit at the hands of the Tigers.
Their elite list meant that they were once again firmly entrenched in the contender column of most people's season predictions, and they lived up to that label as they made their first grand final since 2011.
However, the season was to end in heartbreak as they were once again denied by Richmond as Gary Ablett Jr.'s amazing career ended on a low.
5. NEEDS TO LIFT
Tom Atkins:ย The 25-year-old had a solid 2019, playing 23 games and finishing second in the Cats tackle count, but didn't reach those heights in season 2020.
The forward played 12 games and had his usual attack on the football, but was average or below in disposals and goals. Still has plenty of time to improve and will look to do so in 2021.
