5. Eddie Betts' final game

One of the most recognisable figures in the game over the last decade, Eddie Betts finally called time on his career in 2021 after 350 games and 640 goals.

His final game, in front of empty stands at Marvel Stadium against the Giants, ended in a loss, but was full of the usual Betts tricks. The 34-year-old kicked two goals in his farewell match, not quite the standard that won him Goal of the Year four times, but enough for fans to say their goodbyes to one of the greatest.

In a special touch, the Giants wore their Indigenous jumper, a mark of respect to Betts and his tireless work promoting Indigenous issues in the game and the country.
