Shock new details have emerged regarding Collingwood star Adam Treloar's ugly trade standoff with the club.
According to AFL journalist Sam Edmund, Magpies coach Nathan Buckley called Treloar last week and told him that the core of senior players don't want him at the club anymore.
โThis is unfortunate for the player concerned,โ he said onย AFL Trade Radioโs Trade Afternoons.
โWhat we can say as absolute fact is Nathan Buckley had a phone conversation with Adam Treloar last week where he told him that Collingwoodโs more senior players didnโt want him around the club anymore.
โWe were wondering how Collingwood would seek to pour more pressure on forcing Adam Treloar out โ now we have our answer.
โNow theyโre telling him his teammates want him out, which I find staggering as heโs a very popular player at that football club.โ

It throws a new twist in the tale of the saga, with the Magpies reportedly actively looking to move him in the upcoming trade period.
The Ageโs Sam McClure reported last week that Treloarโs complicated family situation is what has led to his ugly trade standoff with the club.
The Magpies are reportedly concerned about Treloarโs capacity to play at an elite level with his family interstate next year.
The 27-year oldโs partner Kim Ravaillion has signed a 10-month contract with Super Netball team Queensland Firebirds for 2021, with the couple set to fly back and fourth to make their family situation with their daughter, six-month old Georgie, work.
Despite Collingwood juggling a tight salary cap, their desire to move him is believed to not be purely based on money โ with Treloar signed to a heavily back-ended contract until 2025 when it raises to as much as $900,000.
The AFL trade period runs from November 4-12.
