It's that time again to take a lighter look into the big week following the 2021 AFL Grand Final.
Here's what's happened this week.
Melbourne broke their 57-year premiership drought last Saturday night and nobody celebrated harder than AFL legend Neale Daniher, who shared his delight to Instagram.
Unfortunately for Neale, he was denied the opportunity to celebrate the special moment live in Perth due to ongoing COVID restrictions however the smile on his face proves that the location did not matter as long as the team in red and blue held the cup after the final siren.
Many fans, both Dees and others, re-shared the photo of Neale to their Instagram stories to celebrate the Dees great win with him.
Demons skipper Max Gawn had a stellar performance in the Grand Final and the games leading up to it, so naturally, the victory warranted this post-match celebration.
The Match was well fought between the Demons and the Dogs in the first half, however it was the third quarter that saw the Dees excel to victory over the Dogs.
Melbourne ended up thrashing the Dogs by 74 points and perhaps a few extra fans jumped on the Demon bandwagon as they were basically declared winners with 10 minutes of playing time still to go.
Former AFL player and media personality Daniel Gorringe showed his loyal support for the Demons via this tweet he sent out last week.
...And how every Dee fan woke up the next morning!
