Fremantle train-on prospect Baynen Lowe has seen his SSP stint with the Dockers come to an end after hurting his shoulder at training.
Lowe joined the Western Australian club's pre-season program from Norwood after Dockers tall Odin Jones was placed on Fremantle's inactive list - opening a list spot for a Supplemental Selection Period prospect.
The Dockers invited Lowe and Central District's Isaiah Dudley to venture from the SANFL to Cockburn and ply their trade under coach Justin Longmuir in the hope of securing an AFL contract.
Lowe's hopes of impressing the Dockers were hampered by a shoulder injury last week, with Fremantle confirming on Wednesday that the Tasmanian won't continue his training spell this summer.
The 21-year-old's setback may require surgery, with the Dockers to support Lowe during his recovery as he returns to Adelaide.
The Redlegs midfield-forward was among Norwood's best on their road to the SANFL grand final this year, playing 20 matches for a return of 20 goals and averages of 20.8 disposals, 6.0 tackles, 4.2 clearances and 5.2 inside 50s.
Potential shoulder surgery could mean Lowe misses Norwood's opening game of the 2025 season against North Adelaide at Coopers Stadium on Saturday, March 29.
