St Kilda have added to their list of off-season departures with the delistings of fringe defender Tom Highmore.
Highmore joins Jack Peris, Oscar Adams, Jack Bytel and Leo Connolly in not being offered a new deal by the Saints for 2024, with the 25-year-old's time at Moorabbin coming to an end after three seasons.
The Canberra native joined St Kilda via the 2020 National Draft out of South Adelaide as a mature-aged recruit, making his AFL debut the following year against GWS.
Highmore would show promise in his maiden season in the red, white and black to play a total of 13 games under Brett Ratten.
He would manage just three games last year before going unused at the elite level in 2023 as his contract came to an end.
On Tuesday, the club confirmed Highmore would not be offered a new deal going forward.
“It's never nice leaving a player in an uncertain situation, and it has been a very difficult decision to come to,” Executive General Manager of Football David Misson said in a club statement.
“Tom has been a popular member of our playing group throughout his time with the Saints.
“His positive attitude and willingness to remain adaptable and play wherever needed is a credit to his character.
“We wish Tom all the best for this next chapter.”
Added to their list of off-season departures, Jade Gresham (Essendon), Nick Coffield (Western Bulldogs) and Jack Billings (Melbourne) left the Saints through the recent player movement window.
Highmore's departure leaves ruckman Tom Campbell and wingman Dan McKenzie as the last remaining Saints without a deal for next season.
An off-season list lodgement deadline is set for Tuesday.
