St Kilda have confirmed the recruitment of 2024 Magarey Medal winner Harry Boyd via the Supplemental Selelection Period.

Boyd joins the Saints after a dominant season in the SANFL with Norwood, with the mobile ruckman taking out the competition's best and fairest on top of the coaches' award, the Redlegs' best and fairest and Team of the Year honours.

The 26-year-old averaged 20.1 disposals, 10.0 clearances and 41.8 hitouts per game at the state league level to strengthen his bid for an AFL chance.

The Saints offered Boyd the chance to train at Moorabbin early into their pre-season program, with the club confirming his venture to the top flight on Tuesday.

"We're very pleased to officially welcome Harry to St Kilda," Saints football boss David Misson said in a club statement.

"Harry comes to us equipped with an abundance of ruck talent, and most importantly a drive to succeed having plied his trade across the VFL and SANFL in his pursuit of an AFL dream.

"Alongside developing rucks Max Heath and Alex Dodson, we're hopeful that Harry will be able to learn from one of the best rucks going around in Rowan Marshall as he looks to make the most of his opportunity at the highest level."

The signing of Boyd sees the Saints finalise their list for the 2025 campaign, with the vacancy afford to their latest recruit coming after veteran Brad Crouch announced his retirement.

The Saints drafted Tobie Travaglia, Alix Tauru, Alex Dodson, Patrick Said, James Barrat and Hugh Boxshall via the National Draft last November.

The club's pre-season will see them meet with Port Adelaide on Saturday, March 1 as part of the Community Series schedule.

St Kilda clash with Adelaide on Sunday, March 16 at Adelaide Oval to commence their home and away campaign.
