Greater Western Sydney's injury curse has continued, with two more players going down, meaning the Giants have only 26 fit players to choose from for this week's clash with West Coast at Domain Stadium.

Veteran Steve Johnson will miss the trip to Perth due to a knee injury flaring up. Rory Lobb, meanwhile, will miss the match due to a groin injury.

โ€œSteve has been pulling up quite sore in recent weeks and his knee just hasnโ€™t recovered well enough this week so he wonโ€™t be available to play," GWS head of athletic performance David ย Joyce said.

โ€œRory has received two heavy knocks to his pelvis in the last fortnight.

โ€œHeโ€™s been sore as a result and hasnโ€™t quite got to the level that we need early this week, and weโ€™ve made the early decision to focus on his recovery in order to get him right as soon as possible.

โ€œWeโ€™re confident that with the right treatment both players wonโ€™t be far away from returning to the field.โ€

The Eagles host the Giants at Domain Stadium at 4.40pm AEST.
