Star defender Darcy Moore's representatives are increasingly confident that he will re-sign with Collingwood, according to 7News reporter Tom Browne.
Moore and fellow star Pie Jordan De Goey are out of contract at season's end as COVID-19 has forced clubs to manage salary cap pressure and put a freeze on all new deals.
Despite Moore's value on the open market being sky high, negotiations between the 24-year old and Collingwood have progressed.
Sydney have been linked to Moore for the previous two years, with other clubs also expressing interest.
“There’s been positive talks with Collingwood,” Browne reported on Monday night.
“And they’re very confident now he will reach a deal to re-sign with the Pies.”
Moore has been superb in the Magpies defence in the early rounds of this season.
