Geelong 12.12 (84) def. Richmond 11.11 (77)
Geelong held on late to beat Richmond by seven points. Tom Atkins played well for the Cats, recording 22 disposals, 14 tackles and kicking a goal. Aaron Black kicked a much needed three goals, while Wylie Buzza chipped in with two.
Jacob Townsend was once again impressive for the Tigers, he led the game in disposals, racking up 25.
Casey 16.6 (102) def. Northern Blues 8.17 (65)
The Demons' Ben Kennedy (35 disposals and three goals) shone as Casey breezed past the Northern Blues. Despite being reported, Christian Salem also put in a good effort in the victory, he had 28 touches and kicked a goal. Jack Watts (22 disposals and a goal) was solid in his return to the VFL after being axed by Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin.
Rhys Palmer did all he could for his side, finishing the game with two majors and 31 touches.
Port Melbourne 30.17 (197) def. Coburg 5.7 (37)
It was an ugly day for Coburg, as they were decimated by 160 points. Jordan Lisle had a great day for Port Melbourne, kicking a bag of seven goals. HTeammate Eli Templeton was also impressive, kicking three majors and collecting 26 disposals.
Hisham Kerbatieh was the only multiple goal-scorer for Coburg, slotting two majors.
Essendon 14.5 (89) def. Box Hill 12.11 (83)
The wind wreaked havoc in the first half, as Essendon took home a six point win over Box Hill. Daniel Younan kicked four goals for the Bombers, while Craig Bird had 28 touches and 10 tackles.
Jaeger O'Meara was excellent for the Hawks in his return from injury, he had 25 disposals, kicked three goals and laid seven tackles in around 70 minutes game time.
Collingwood 19.14 (128) def. North Ballarat 6.5 (41)
It was another heavy loss for North Ballarat, as they went down to Collingwood by 87 points. Tim Broomhead (41 disposals and three goals) and Gus Borthwick (25 disposals and five goals) both played exceptional games for the Pies.
On a dark day for the Roosters, Lloyd Meek managed to kick two goals.
Williamstown 17.15 (117) def. Werribee 6.10 (46)
Williamstown have moved to top spot after a convincing win over Werribee. The Tigers could only manage 15 points after quarter time.
Lachlan Schultz, Ben Cavarra and Samuel Dunell all slotted three goals for the Seagulls.
Lindsay Thomas was one of the lone shining lights for Werribee, he also kicked three goals, including this stunner to get the Tigers going.
East Perth 17.8 (110) def. Swan Districts 8.8 (56)
It was a decent performance from East Perth as they defeated Swan Districts by 54 points. Chris Masten had 31 disposals in the win, while William Rioli (four goals), Stanley Wright (35 disposals), and Nathan Blee (32 disposals and a goal) also had good games.
Former Docker Ryan Crowley was one of Swan Districts best, he had 27 touches and kicked one major.
Peel Thunder 11.10 (76) def. Perth 8.7 (55)
Peel did enough in the second half to claim the four points over Perth. Thomas Sheridan did well for the Thunder, recording 22 disposals and two goals, while Zac Dawson was also among the best. Harley Bennell managed to kick two majors.
The Clinton Jones story continues to amaze, in this one he managed to rack up 41 disposals to go along with two goals.
Claremont 8.13 (61) def. South Fremantle 14.9 (93)
Cory Dell-Olio slotted four goals as South Fremantle defeated Claremont. Timothy Kelly was also good in the win, he had 24 touches and a major.
Ryan Murphy was arguably Claremont's best, he finished the game with 33 disposals and also kicked a goal.
West Perth 8.15 (63) def. East Fremantle 7.8 (50)
Despite only kicking one goal in the first half, West Perth took home the four points over East Fremantle. Shane Nelson again got a lot of the ball for the victors, racking up 34 disposals.
Dion Anthony impressed despite his side going down, he finished with 32 disposals and four inside 50s.
North Adelaide 12.4 (76) def. Adelaide 17.13 (115)
Paul Seedsman (29 disposals and three goals) dominated, as Adelaide did enough to defeat North Adelaide. Troy Menzel also pushed for a call-up to the seniors, kicking four goals.
Lewis Hender managed to slot five goals despite his side going down.
South Adelaide 21.15 (141) def. Eagles 9.4 (58)
It was a strong performance from South Adelaide, as they defeated the Eagles by 93 points. Matt Rose recorded 23 disposals, 13 marks, four inside 50s and three goals.
Jake Johansen had 29 touches and 10 marks for Woodville West Torrens.
Sturt 14.17 (101) def. Glenelg 7.10 (52)
Sturt managed to win every quarter on their way to defeating Glenelg. Both Patrick Wilson (29 disposals, 11 inside 50s and a goal) and James Battersby (26 disposals and a goal) were big parts of the win.
Matt Snook performed well on a tough day for his side, he finished with 30 disposals and one major.
West Adelaide 8.9 (57) def. by Port Adelaide 22.17 (149)
A number of players staked their claim to be called up for the Power, as Port Adelaide thrashed West Adelaide. Jackson Trengove (23 touches, eight inside 50s, and two goals), Nathan Krakouer (five goals), Jimmy Toumpas (31 touches and 12 marks), and Aaron Yong (28 touches and two goals) all excelled in the contest.
Joshua Schiller was again one of West Adelaide's best, he had 27 disposals.
Norwood 8.12 (60) def. by Central District 21.10 (136)
A brilliant performance from Luke Barmby (30 disposals and three goals) helped lead Central Districts to a big win over Norwood. Darcy Fory was also good in the victory, he recorded 24 disposals, 30 hit-outs, and three goals.
It was a tough afternoon for Norwood, however, former Melbourne player Dean Terlich managed to put in a good effort, he finished with 25 disposals and eight rebound 50s.
Sydney 26.17 (173) def. Redland 6.10 (46)
Sydney had a day out against Redland, recording a mammoth 127-point win. Samuel Fisher (32 disposals and four goals) was superb, as were Jordan Dawson (26 disposals and three goals) and Aliir Aliir (27 disposals, 25 hit-outs, and two goals).
Luke Rogerson was one of the lone shining lights for Redland, however, he was inaccurate in front of goal kicking 1.3.
Canberra 6.12 (48) def. Sydney Uni 15.17 (107)
Sydney Uni kicked away late to claim a 59-point win over Canberra. Zach O'Brien was arguably the best player on the ground, recording 31 disposals and a goal.
No surprises that Jordan Harper was again one of Canberra's best, he had 35 disposals and six tackles.
Brisbane 16.8 (104) def. by Gold Coast 16.15 (111)
Gold Coast came from behind in the second half to defeat Brisbane by seven points. Mitchell Hallahan (38 disposals, 14 marks, and a goal) was huge for the Suns, as was former Bulldog Jarrad Grant who slotted seven goals.
Matthew Hammelmann again hit the scoreboard for Brisbane kicking three majors. Tom Cutler also impressed despite the Lions losing, he had 26 touches and two goals.
Aspley 20.12 (132) def. Southport 13.9 (87)
Four goals and 20 disposals from Oskar Baker helped lead Aspley to a 45-point win over Southport. His teammate and ex-Roo Ben Warren kicked three majors.
Jordan Keras put in another great effort for Southport, he toiled away to record 27 disposals and eight tackles.
