Collingwood vice-captain Steele Sidebottom was found "half naked" by police on a street in Williamstown on Sunday morning, a witness told The Herald Sun.
The star midfielder faces suspension for breaching multiple COVID-19 protocols during a boozy Saturday night involving teammate Lynden Dunn.
Sidebottom and Dunn caught an Uber together on Saturday night before the former went to ex-Magpie and club employee Daniel Wells' house.
Sidebottom was allegedly found by police in Williamstown on Sunday morning before 7.30am and driven home.
The witness toldΒ The Herald Sun: "All he wanted to do was get in because he was cold and freezing.
βI was there, I was visiting my mate and he looked naked and the coppers knew him straight away.ββ
Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley said on Wednesday that Sidebottom's recollection of the events βisnβt that greatββ.
βPolice officers located a 29-year-old man in Hanmer Street, Williamstown on Sunday morning 28 June just before 7.30am,β Victoria Police told The Herald Sun.
βHe was not charged with any offence and after speaking to police was conveyed home.β
