Defenders

Buy

  • Nick Coffield (St Kilda)

Nick Coffield is averaging 73 after two rounds and is due to rise in price after this week. His projected price rise is $53k so get him now while he’s still cheap. He’s a dual position Def/Mid so if your backline is full, find a spot in the midfield.

  • Alex Witherden (Brisbane)

Alex Witherden was a gun rookie late last year and is averaging 90 so far this season. He’s a good mid-pricer and is only in 2% of teams so he’s a great point of difference.

  • Shannon Hurn (West Coast)

Shannon Hurn is another great point of difference for teams and could be a good swap for Michael Hibberd. He’s averaging 106.5 but appears in just in 2% of teams.

Sell

  • Adam Saad (Essendon)

Adam Saad is playing much more of a defensive key position role and his Supercoach scores are reflective of that with an average of 56.3. He features in 5% of teams still but there is much better for a lot cheaper out there.

  • Jake Lever (Melbourne)

Jake Lever hasn’t been setting the world on fire since joining the Dees and his price is rapidly dropping. He’s averaging 63 and hasn’t scored higher than 69. Trade.

Hold

  • Andrew McGrath (Essendon)

Andrew McGrath started the year with a great score of 102 and has since fell away into the 60s. With a couple of big games ahead for the Bombers, give him another week or two.

  • Kade Simpson (Carlton)

Kade Simpson’s scores have slowly dropped but he is likely to bounce back with some big scores. Hold on to him for now and see if he can get back to his best.

Midfielders

Buy

  • Jaeger O’Meara (Hawthorn)

Jaeger O’Meara scared a lot of people off him after last year but those who stuck with him again this year are reaping the rewards. His average sits at 98.5 but his price is still under 400k. Get him in while you can.

  • Brandon Parfitt (Geelong)

Brandon Parfitt has been a surprise package this year. He is averaging 106.5 but is still only in 5% of teams. His price is until 400k still but it wont be after this round if he continues notching up big scores.

  • Clayton Oliver (Melbourne)

Clayton Oliver is a gun and his price is reflective of that but his selection percentage isn’t. He is only in 8% of teams and is a great point of difference.

Sell

  • Dayne Zorko (Brisbane)

Last week I said to hold on to Dayne Zorko but he failed again. His scores are getting better but they still aren’t great. He’s not worth it at the price which is rapidly decreasing. Trade before you lose any more money.

  • Josh P. Kennedy (Sydney)

Josh Kennedy is in 4% of teams but is averaging only 80 and he’s about to drop to under $500k so best to trade if you still have him.

Hold

  • Patrick Cripps (Carlton)

Patrick Cripps has been solid to start the year, but his last couple of scores have dropped a fraction. Keep him in for a bit longer because he can post some big scores.

Rucks

Buy

  • Brodie Grundy (Collingwood)

If you’ve got money to splurge, grab Brodie Grundy before it's too late. He is averaging 132.3. I’ll leave it at that.

  • Callum Sinclair (Sydney)

With Callum Sinclair being Sydney’s only real ruck option this year after they lost Sam Naismith to injury, he is getting a lot of time on the ball. He has great value under $500k.

Sell

  • Mason Cox (Collinwood)

Mason Cox hasn’t scored above 50 for the year but is still in 4% of teams. Get rid of him even if he’s just on your bench.

Hold

  • Ben McEvoy (Hawthorn)

Ben McEvoy has a massive 138 to his name this year and only one poor score. He can be up and down, but with just 2% ownership he could be another good point of difference.

Forwards

Buy

  • Jesse Hogan (Melbourne)

Jesse Hogan is playing a new role up the ground and on the ball, which has increased his scoring. Averaging 110.8, he is priced under 500k but set to trend upwards.

  • Robbie Gray (Port Adelaide)

Robbie Gray is a premium forward and worth every penny. His average sits at 119.7 and he is only in 8% of teams.

Sell

  • Chad Wingard (Port Adelaide)

Chad Wingard spending more time up forward which is hurting Supercoach owners. Averaging 75, his price is dropping quickly so best get rid of him.

Hold

  • Christian Petracca (Melbourne)

Christian Petracca has been good without setting the world on fire. If you’ve still got him, hold for now but keep an eye on him over the next couple of weeks.

  • Charlie Cameron (Brisbane)

Charlie Cameron’s score of 26 last week against Richmond really hurt his average. Before that, he was doing well and scored as high as 115. Hold on to him for now.
