Defenders

Buy:

Tom Doedee (Adelaide)

Arguably the biggest steal for any team this season, starting at just under $124,000, Doedee is now worth over $300,000. He's No longer the biggest steal however, for what remains to be a small price too pay Doedee will give you close to or over 100 points per week.

Jeremy Finlayson (Greater Western Sydney)

Again, a youngster who was worth $123,900 at the start of the season who's jumped up in value due to his outstanding play on the field. Finlayson, unlike Doedee, is a dual position player so if your backline is stacked, you'll be able to stick him in the midfield.

Caleb Marchbank (Carlton)

Marchbank is coming back from injury this week and remains to be overlooked. selected in only 2% of teams, he could be that unique factor which puts a team over its competition. Scoring 105 and 81 in his first two games, Marchbank was able to stay cheap due to an injury which he suffered in the 2nd quarter of his 3rd game. In which he managed to score 40.

Sell:

Andrew McGrath (Essendon)

Started off the year with an impressive score of 102 and has only fallen off since. Scoring only 31 in the ANZAC day clash, you'll need to get rid of him before his price continues to drop.

Luke Hodge (Brisbane)

Solid when he's on the field, but there will be games that he will be rested. Also, unlike real life he doesn't provide experience and leadership to your young defence. Trade him for one of the aforementioned young defenders who score more and cost less.

Hold:

Rory Laird (Adelaide)

Yet to score below 100, it's a no-brainer as to why you'd keep him in your team. If he wasn't the most expensive defender on the field he'd be in the 'buy' section of this article.

Elliot Yeo (West Coast)

His price may have dropped since the start of the season but that was due to the 27 point shocker that every superstar player will one day come across. Other than that he hasn't scored below 100 and his price will continue to increase.

Midfielders

Buy:

Nick Holman (Gold Coast)

It's the perfect time to capitalise on those young players who started out the season cheap and are only increasing in value. Holman's already jumped up $163,00 and can be relied upon to provide a solid socre.

Nat Fyfe (Fremantle)

One of the premier players in the league who was cheap to start the season due to injury last season. Already in 54% of teams, don't be caught on the back foot when he's too expensive and everyone else in your league already has him. Pick him up now.

Sell:

Gary Ablett (Geelong)

Continuously fighting through injury troubles, Ablett costs too much for the little time he spends on the field. You can't hold onto the past any longer, it's time to let the little master go.

Dayne Zorko (Brisbane)

Zorko is too expensive based on the score he gives weekly. His score continues to drop and the longer you keep him on your squad the more money you will continue to lose.

Hold:

Jaeger O'Meara (Hawthorn)

His inconsistency can frustrate the most patient amongst us. But you've got to hold on to O'Meara. Once he continues to string together good performances it'll all be worth it, it's just a matter of waiting it out.

Cameron Rayner (Brisbane)

His average remains a little low, but that's due to a slow start. The number one pick has started to gain some confidence in his game and is only going to move up from here. His value is not high enough to trade him, you'll only be getting worse scores in return.

Rucks

Buy:

Timothy English (Western Bulldogs)

It's surprising English isn't in more than 34% of Supercoach teams. One of the only few cheap ruckman putting up solid scores, you'll want to get him before his price increases too much.

Sell:

Matthew Kreuzer (Carlton)

A solid player when he's on the field, but that's too rare of an occurrence at this stage of his career. It'd be smart to sell him before he makes his return and drops his value even more.

Hold:

Todd Goldstein (North Melbourne)

A lot of owners are getting rid of Goldstein before his price continues to drop. However, it's hard to see Goldstein lose value as he currently costs $455,900. Three poor games strung together have Goldstein looking like he's incapable of putting up big scores, but with a little shift in momentum the big man is sure to have his averages and price increased pretty soon.

Forwards

Buy:

Matt Guelfi (Essendon)

One of the cheapest players currently putting scores on the board. If you're looking for an emergency or even a player to fill a spot on the field, you better trade for Guelfi soon before his price jumps up. Scoring 69 and 72 in his 2 games played, Guelif showed he can add value to any supercoach squad. Not completely risk-free, but if you're looking for a jump on your competition, he might be the way to go.

Zac Fisher (Carlton)

Carlton's youngster proved he could give your team quality scoring with a surprising 117 against West Coast over the weekend. In five games, Fisher has failed to score under 70 once and continues to show promising signs. You'll want to pick him up before his price gets too high.

Sell:

Lance Franklin (Sydney)

Yes, it can't be argued it's fun to watch Buddy play and root for him to score high for your Supercoach team. But he just doesn't do it enough. He's too inconsistent and there are players that cost much less than he does that provide the same averages, if not higher averages. Buddy's price looks like it's going to continue to drop, so you'd want to get rid of him as soon as possible.

Hold:

Hugh McCluggage (Brisbane)

A youngster who has the potential to only get better in a growing side, he's set to have some poor performances but with time he'll be providing solid scores consistently in weeks to come.

Dean Kent (Melbourne)

Kent suffered an injury in his last game and it's still unknown when he'll make his return. If you're able to, hold him as a substitute until the extent of his injury is made public. You won't get much better value from a player priced at just under $330,000.
