SuperCoach: Players to watch out for in Round 23

The final round of the SuperCoach year is upon us, so here are some final players to keep your eye on ahead of what is hopefully your grand final.

Tom Hawkins - GEEL|FWD|$458,800 - vs. GWS

Hawkins will make his return from suspension this week, and will come up against Phil Davis. He and the GWS defender have come to blows in the past, so expect Hawkins to be breathing fire when he takes the field. Before he was suspended he had two game scoring triple figures, so keep note of Tom Hawkins this weekend.

Jacob Townsend - RICH|MID/FWD|$287,700 - vs. STK

If you're looking to downgrade one of your bench players to create extra room in the cap, Townsend could be your go to guy. He scored 118 points last week, and will look to back it up against the Saints. With teams sometimes taking interesting tactics into the selection table your emergencies are important, Townsend could come in handy.

Luke Parker - SYD|MID|$537,100 - vs. CARL

Luke Parker is having an excellent season, and expect him to continue that when the Swans play Carlton. Over his last three appearances against the Blue Parker averages around 26 disposals, and just over a goal a game. This could be a 120+ point week for him.

Nathan Jones - MEL|MID|$482,400 - vs. COLL

With so much to play for in this final round, expect the Melbourne captain to stand up. Last week he racked up an incredible 133 points, while the week before it was 128. He also has a solid record against the Pies, scoring 110 points the last time he played against them. Jones is owned by less than one percent of coaches and thus could be a difference maker for you if you've made it to the grand final.

Harley Bennell - FRE|MID/FWD|$387,000 - vs. ESS

This would be a massive risk, however if you think you need to do something outrageous to pull in the win, then Bennell could be your man. He had a solid outing last week in his return to AFL football, and could be poised for a big game against the Bombers. A big risk but potentially big return, as we all know what he is capable of.
