SURPRISE PACKETS
Zac Smith - GEEL|RUC|$407,000($+10.9k) - 136 points
Owned by just 1.1% of coaches, Smith had a big game against the Bulldogs. He had 48 hit-outs, 25 disposals, and 10 tackles. It was his highest score for the year and was well above his average. A terrific performance from someone who is not priced in the top bracket of ruckman in the competition.
Nathan Wilson - GWS|DEF|$392,900($+47.4K) - 127 points
Wilson registered his highest score of the year in round nine and it was a very impressive 127. It's a terrific score from somebody who is priced below $400K. 18 of his 20 disposals were kicks and he went at 95% efficiency.
Tom Boyd - WB|RUC/FWD|$342,100($+38.9K) - 109 points
Another player who amassed his highest score of the year, Boyd's 109 was only the second time he has cracked triple figures this year. Owned by a decent number of coaches (25,652), however, his form suggested that this wasn't on the cards.
Hugh Greenwood - ADE|MID\FWD|$117,300 - 104 points
If you had been keeping an eye on Greenwood in the SANFL, this performance would not have been a surprise. In his debut game he kicked three goals and laid nine tackles, which was enough to get him over the 100-mark. The 3.5% of coaches who have him would have been very happy.
Michael Hartley - ESS|DEF|$330,500($+3.7K) - 100 points
The first time he has reached triple figures all year, Hartley had a good game against West Coast. He finished the game with 21 disposals, while taking 13 marks also boosted his score. Selected in just 418 teams, Hartley would have made some players very happy.
DISAPPOINTMENTS
Isaac Heeney - SYD|FWD|$503,400($+11.8K) - 69 points
Heeney has performed well since returning from injury, however, this past weekend was his lowest score to date. He didn't have a whole lot of it, managing only 18 touches, which wasn't great for the 26,679 coaches who have him in their side. It will be interesting to see how he responds next week.
Elliot Yeo - WCE|FWD/MID|$548,400($-10.1K) - 71 points
It's been a sparkling start to the year for Elliot Yeo, however, round nine did not offer quite what many coaches hoped. He only managed 71 points, mostly due to his 19 disposals only going at 68% efficiency. Form would suggest he will score well next week, so don't worry too much about Yeo.
Heath Shaw - GWS|DEF|$468,400($-18.7K) - 73 points
Shaw hasn't been delivering at his usual best and round nine was another poor score. It was his second lowest score for the year. He only had 19 disposals, just five of them were contested. Owned by a whopping 35.2% of players, Shaw's effort wouldn't have been what they had in mind.
Kade Simpson - CARL|DEF|$503,700($-22.7K) - 77 points
Still priced at over $500K, Simpson's 77 points would have been a disappointment. The score was below his average and was one of his lowest for the year. Overall his form may suggest it's time for some of his 13,080 coaches to move him on.
Marcus Bontempelli - WB|MID|$588,200($-22.5K) - 81 points
It was Bontempelli's lowest score of the year and was disappointing compared to his lofty standards. He only had 19 touches at 68% efficiency, his score would have been higher, however, if he was more accurate in front of goal. He kicked 0.3. A tough weekend for the young gun, and the 32.3% of coaches who have him.
