Another week goes by in which a top tier midfielder was kept quiet, while some other names took us by surprise and scored big.

SURPRISE PACKETS

Jarrad Waite - NM|FWD|$499,400 ($+0K) - 190 points

His first game back from injury, and Jarrad Waite starred. He kicked six goals, to go along with 22 disposals, eight marks, and six tackles. Owned by 0.3% of coaches, Waite's performance was a surprise to many.

Charlie Dixon - PA|FWD|$460,600 ($+50.5K) - 135 points

A week for forwards, as Charlie Dixon also scored big. Despite the loss, Dixon's three goals, 22 touches, and 10 marks, meant he managed 135 points. The 2,368 coaches who own him would have been very pleased with his strong performance.

Ben Reid - COLL|DEF|$426,800 ($+31.6K) - 130 points

Owned by a measly 0.6%, Ben Reid came up big in round seven. Despite his team's loss, he had 25 disposals, and 12 marks. He missed last weekend, meaning even less coaches enjoyed the big score.

Matt Taberner - FRE|FWD|$336,000 ($+0K) - 119 points

In his first game of the year, Fremantle Forward Matt Taberner was excellent. He kicked four goals, and took nine marks in his side win over Essendon, leading him to an impressive score of 119 points. Another little owned player, with just 106 coaches having him in their side.

Sam Frost - MEL|DEF|$347,000 ($+32K) - 104 points

The Melbourne youngster has had a solid start to the year, with this week's effort being his best. 20 disposals, and seven marks helped him to his first triple figure score of the year. He is owned by less than 2,000 coaches.

DISAPPOINTMENTS

Christian Petracca - MEL|FWD|$410,200 ($-16.4K) - 54 points

A heavily owned player (11.7% of coaches), Petracca had a tough game against Hawthorn. He managed only 13 disposals, and failed to kick a goal. Coaches will be hoping he can turn around what has been a recent dip in scores.

Brodie Grundy - COLL|RUC|$473,900 ($-39.4K) - 58 points

The Collingwood ruckman has been solid to start the year, averaging almost 100 points per round. However, round seven was disappointing, managing a score of only 58. It's been a tough year trying to find a consistent ruckman, and the 13.5% of coaches who have Grundy would have been disappointed.

Ollie Wines - PA|MID|$515,600 ($-32.5K) - 70 points

A tough day for Port Adelaide, and not the best day out for Wines, he had 20 disposals, only five of which were kicks. He also had three clangers, and failed to hit the scoreboard. Not the greatest SuperCoach week for the midfielder and the 11,000+ coaches that have him.

Adam Treloar - COLL|MID|$525,500 ($-13.6K) - 73 points

21 disposals for Treloar was solid, however he only had seven kicks, and didn't take a mark. His 73 points was close to a season low, and was disappointing for the 23.6% of coaches who own him.

Rory Sloane - ADE|MID|$658,900 ($-16.1K) - 80 points

Despite still being the highest scorer through the first seven rounds, Sloane had a disappointing game against North Melbourne. He was kept quiet by Sam Gibson, and limited to just 18 disposals, and 80 points.
