SuperCoach Stock Market: Round 10

Check out players to buy, hold and sell, as well as breakevens and likely price changes for this week 👇

It's getting close to the halfway point of the season with SuperCoach owners well in the swing of things with downgrading and upgrading rookies, as well as trading away out-of-form players and injured premiums.

SuperCoach teams should be looking to take shape as the bye rounds approach, and it would be wise to make sure your 'boost' option for trades are preserved for these series of lulls.

However, with popular premium Jack Steele going down with injury, and other popular selections like Stephen Coniglio underperforming, it is necessary to make changes to ensure teams are still strong as the season progresses.

With that being said, it's time to look ahead to next week and see who to buy, hold and sell as Round 10 nears.

BUY

Greg Clark ($117,300) (MID)

The mature-age rookie is now on the bubble and is set to skyrocket in price after the next round.

The 24-year-old was a popular selection at the start of the year, before getting injured in the pre-season which saw a lot of owners take him out of their sides.

Now Clark has played two games, averaging 18.5 disposals and 83 SuperCoach points, which has given him a breakeven of -97 and a projected price rise of $80.3k so he won't be cheap for long.

Close to 20,000 owners have traded in Clark this week and with good reason, as his scoring ability and quick cash generation will see him make his way onto the field in many SuperCoach teams this week.

Dustin Martin ($509,600) (MID/FWD)

'Dusty' is back from his break from football and has started to gain momentum in his first two games back, which will please SuperCoach owners as his dual position status and his obvious ability to obtain SuperCoach points make him a valuable selection for your side.

Since returning from his break, Martin has scored 83 and 119 and does not look like a footballer who had missed seven weeks of footy.

The triple Norm Smith medallist has a breakeven of 98 so he shouldn't fluctuate in price too much, but with popular selection Stephen Coniglio underperforming, Dusty would be the perfect swap if you have a bit of cash in the bank.

The Tigers play the struggling Bombers this week in the Dreamtime clash, and 'Dusty' loves the big stage, collecting 27 disposals and kicking 3 goals in last year's corresponding fixture, so hop on before everyone does in the near future.

Ollie Wines ($540,200) (MID)

The reigning Brownlow medallist is going well under the radar, only in 2.5% of teams, but he has hit form as of late and would be a great point of difference in your lineup, especially with popular midfield premium Jack Steele going down with injury.

Currently averaging 103.8 SuperCoach points on the season, which is down on his usual output from last season, Wines has hit form in the past three weeks with a three-round average 121 and a 155 point performance on the weekend with 32 disposals and two goals, should tempt owners to trade him in this week.

Has a low breakeven of 59 and a projected price rise of $17.9k, and Wines' recent form tells us that he'll continue to rise in price, so hop on now before he gets too expensive.

HOLD

Maurice Rioli ($167,700) (MID/FWD)

The Tigers' livewire forward impressed in his first couple of outings against West Coast and Collingwood, averaging 82 SuperCoach points across those two games and was a popular trade-in last week.

Unfortunately for those who traded him in last week, he rewarded owners with a 'whopping' 7-point performance against the Hawks.

Rioli still has a low breakeven of 20, and with the Dreamtime game this week, Rioli will be keen to bounce back during a contest he has helped promote throughout the week.

Hold for the time being.

Nic Martin ($396,000) (FWD/MID)

The Bombers' youngster has been a shining light in what has been a disappointing season for the Dons so far, averaging 21.2 disposals and 86.8 SuperCoach points per game this season.

Martin is still in 68.3% of teams and for good reason due to his consistent scoring ability.

The 21-year-old did have a down game on the weekend, only scoring 59 points which has given him a higher breakeven of 86 heading into the next round.

His price won't fluctuate too much this round as he has probably hit his ceiling in terms of cash production, but he's not a must-trade as he is reliable with his consistent scoring of the 70-90 point range.

So, if you have other areas of concern in your side, attend to that before trading Martin out.

Nick Daicos ($381,400) (DEF/MID)

The leading contender for the NAB Rising Star award continues to deliver consistent performances for the Pies week in, week out, averaging 24.7 disposals and 81.4 SuperCoach points per game.

Daicos is in a similar boat to Nic Martin as his breakeven of 75 is similar to his average on the season so his price will stay similar to its current state in the near future, but he shouldn't be an area of concern for owners due to his ability to get 20 or more disposals each week and get his 70-80 points.

Hold for now unless your side is healthy and there is potential to upgrade Daicos to a premium defender or midfielder.

SELL

Jack Steele ($590,800) (MID)

As mentioned before, the popular premium midfielder has gone down with a shoulder injury that will rule him out for majority of the SuperCoach season, meaning he is a must-trade immediately for the 51,000 owners that still have him in their side.

The positive is that the gun Saints midfielder is at a healthy price so owners will be able to trade across to most other premium midfielders in the competition.

Lachie Whitfield ($423,800) (DEF/MID)

The GWS premium has been far from a premium this season, averaging only the 77.9 points per game and hasn't cracked the ton once in nine games.

A lot of owners have already traded out the defender for other better-performing backmen but he is still in 24% of teams, and with a high breakeven of 112 and a projected price drop of $15.3k, Whitfield is in danger of dropping below the $400k which would be bewildering given how much talent he has.

Trade out now if you haven't already and while Whitfield still has some value.

Stephen Coniglio ($429,200) (MID/FWD)

Another Giant who has underperformed as of late is popular forward pick Stephen Coniglio, who currently has a three-round average of 71.7 and is coming off an abysmal 37-point performance on the weekend against the Blues with just 14 disposals.

The Giants midfielder now has an extremely high breakeven of 146 and is expected to plummet in price this week, $38.6k to be exact.

Trade out Coniglio now, presumably an upgrade to a premium forward before Coniglio's worth becomes less and less in the near future.
