It's getting close to the halfway point of the season with SuperCoach owners well in the swing of things with downgrading and upgrading rookies, as well as trading away out-of-form players and injured premiums.

SuperCoach teams should be looking to take shape as the bye rounds approach, and it would be wise to make sure your 'boost' option for trades are preserved for these series of lulls.

However, with popular premium Jack Steele going down with injury, and other popular selections like Stephen Coniglio underperforming, it is necessary to make changes to ensure teams are still strong as the season progresses.

With that being said, it's time to look ahead to next week and see who to buy, hold and sell as Round 10 nears.

SELL

Jack Steele ($590,800) (MID)

As mentioned before, the popular premium midfielder has gone down with a shoulder injury that will rule him out for majority of the SuperCoach season, meaning he is a must-trade immediately for the 51,000 owners that still have him in their side.

The positive is that the gun Saints midfielder is at a healthy price so owners will be able to trade across to most other premium midfielders in the competition.

Lachie Whitfield ($423,800) (DEF/MID)

The GWS premium has been far from a premium this season, averaging only the 77.9 points per game and hasn't cracked the ton once in nine games.

A lot of owners have already traded out the defender for other better-performing backmen but he is still in 24% of teams, and with a high breakeven of 112 and a projected price drop of $15.3k, Whitfield is in danger of dropping below the $400k which would be bewildering given how much talent he has.

Trade out now if you haven't already and while Whitfield still has some value.

Stephen Coniglio ($429,200) (MID/FWD)

Another Giant who has underperformed as of late is popular forward pick Stephen Coniglio, who currently has a three-round average of 71.7 and is coming off an abysmal 37-point performance on the weekend against the Blues with just 14 disposals.

The Giants midfielder now has an extremely high breakeven of 146 and is expected to plummet in price this week, $38.6k to be exact.

Trade out Coniglio now, presumably an upgrade to a premium forward before Coniglio's worth becomes less and less in the near future.
