The pointy end of the season has arrived and Supercoach owners will either have full strength sides already, or still have a couple of moves to make before finals get underway.

As trades will be quite slim, it is important to make the right moves at the right times. And for owners who only have a few trades left, it would be wise to leave a couple trades up your sleeve in case any big players are hit with injuries.

Check out below on who to trade in and out, some potential rookie downgrades and point of difference players to separate you from opposition owners in head-to-head matchups.

TRADE IN

Sean Darcy [RUC][$648,000]

The big ruckman from the Dockers would have to be in the form player in the comp in the past three or four weeks, and his Supercoach scores have reflected that big time.

With whopping scores of 193 and 183 in the past two weeks. With an amazing three-round average of 155.3 points per game, Darcy is dominating the game right now.

He has a very low breakeven of 8 and a projected price rise of $63.8k, which would take him over the $700k mark.

Most owners have gone the Gawn Grundy combo this year, but it's hard to ignore the scoring prowess of Darcy at the moment, so trade him in if you can.

Taylor Adams [MID][$516,600]

The Magpies inside midfielder has really been forgotten this season due to multiple injuries that have hampered him in the early stages of the season.

Now Adams is healthy and back to being Collingwood's number one midfielder.

In the three weeks since returning from a knee injury, he has scores of 110, 112 and 140, showing he is back to his usual best.

With a breakeven of 54, a projected price rise of $21.9k and an ownership rate of only 1%, now is the perfect time to get Adams in and separate yourself from the pack heading into finals time.

Christian Petracca [MID][$572,600]

The damaging Demons midfielder is in red hot form at the moment.

After a 173 point performance on the weekend. A

three-round average of 130, a breakeven of 43, and a projected price rise of $29.3k which would take him over $600k, Petracca is primed for the picking.

The 'Trac' would be the perfect finishing touch for your midfield if you have the cash and trades to do so.

TRADE OUT

Changkuoth Jiath [DEF][$406,300]

The exciting Hawks speedster has been a revelation this year for Supercoach owners.

The 22-year old became a popular pick after averaging 103.8 points per game through the first four games of the season, and has increased in value by $140k since the start of the season.

Has maintained a level of consistensy averaging 84.4 points per game on the season, but has been struck down with a PCL injury which will see him miss the rest of the season, so trade him out if you still have him.

Zak Butters [FWD][$454,000]

For the owners that decided to jump the gun and get the Port young gun back into your side after a long injury layoff, you would've been left frustrated after Butters injured his knee and was subbed out of the game against Melbourne on Thursday night.

Scans revealed a medial ligament strain in his right knee which will see him miss up to a month, which will likely rule him out for the rest of the Supercoach season, so if you went early on him, then you'll have to throw away another trade getting in another premium forward.

ROOKIE DOWNGRADES

This is a week where there are no enticing rookies to get in, but there is one rookie who is impressing at VFL level and could be called up soon for an AFL debut...

Jack Ginnivan [MID/FWD][$102,400]

The medium sized forward has been impressing in the Collingwood VFL side recently, kicking 11 goals in the past three games.

Collingwood's AFL side has had troubling scoring in 2021 and Ginnivan could provide that for them.

At the base price of $102.4k and with dual position status, Ginnivan should entice owners looking to downgrade to get some cash in the bank, and upgrade elsewhere.

POINT OF DIFFERENCE PLAYERS

Jordan Dawson [DEF][$514,700]

The classy Swans defender is flying under every Supercoach owners radar.

Currently in only 1% of teams, Dawson is averaging a quality 97.2 points per game on the season, including a three-round average of 119 and a 141 point performance on the weekend.

A lot of owners have gone with Callum Mills if they were to choose a Swans defender in their backline. However, Dawson is showing great value and with a breakeven of 59. The left-footer is set to rise in price so this is the perfect time to get him in as a point of difference.

Nick Hind [FWD][$479,200]

The former Saints speedster is having a great season at the Bombers, averaging 95 points per game on the season.

Has a five-round average of 98.6 including performances that saw him attain 134 and 136 Supercoach points in two of the past four weeks.

He has a low breakeven of 63 and a low ownership rate in only 6% of teams, so could be a handy point of difference to finish off your forward line.

Jy Simpkin [MID][$554,500]

The skillful Kangaroos midfielder is enjoying a quality year, and that has reflected in his Supercoach scoring averaging 98.2 points per game on the season.

While he has had a consistently good year, it has been his last five games where he has really stepped it up. A five-round average of 116.6 points per game makes him an enticing prospect.

With an ownership rate of just 3%, Simpkin is proving to be one of the in-form midfielders in the comp and would definitely separate yourself from the pack with this selection.
