Collingwood has emerged as a potential landing spot for St Kilda veteran Tim Membrey.
The Pies have been in desperate need of a key forward for the better part of a decade, trialling mid-sized players or second-rucks in the position.
Brody Mihocek has battled willfully since being taken initially as a defender ahead of the 2018 season, while the acquisition of Dan McStay from Brisbane is yet to reap its full potential following multiple injuries.
The interest in Membrey would come due to the low cost it would require to lure him from the Saints, either as a late trade or potentially as a delisted free agent, pending on what the Moorabbin club does.
"Collingwood has emerged as a possible home for Tim Membrey as either a very late trade or wait for the DFA window. Still a little bit of water to go under the bridge there." @CalTwomey

Collingwood has already looked at Membrey's teammate Jack Hayes as an option, having undergone a medical in recent times.
The inclusion of the right-footer would help bolster the 2023 premiers' forward line, whilst also keeping an eye on its future after Mason Cox and Mihocek.
The pair are both over the age of 30 and suffered from long-term injuries in 2024.
St Kilda is currently weighing up the 30-year-old's future, who has garnered interest from multiple clubs.
The Saints are yet to offer Membrey a contract, causing rivals to put their interest forward.
Carlton, Melbourne, North Melbourne and Brisbane all considered a play for the key forward, with the majority putting a line through a move.
