Sydney star Isaac Heeney has extended his lead in our 2024 MVP race following the events of Round 13, while Demons captain Max Gawn is back on the podium.

Heeney polled a further 10 votes in Sunday's win over Geelong as teammate Errol Gulden managed a perfect game to add 20 votes to his season tally, which now sits at 98 votes.

That has the flash Swans midfielder in 11th on our leaderboard, while Gulden was one of just four players to poll a perfect game over the weekend.

Brisbane's Lachie Neale also notched up 20 votes to move to 97 votes for the season, with the two-time Brownlow Medal winner now sitting in 12th.

Carlton ruckman Tom De Koning and Hawks young gun Will Day were the only other players to poll 20 votes in Round 13, with both players in good form and have polled strongly in their last three matches.

Stunningly, four different players were viewed as the best on the ground in Thursday's clash between Richmond and Adelaide, with Toby Nankervis, Noah Balta, Tim Taranto, and Jordan Dawson each getting one five-vote nod.

Saints speedster Jack Sinclair was one-vote shy of amassing a 20-vote game against the Suns on Saturday night, while Collingwood's Jack Crips was the same in his side's win over Melbourne on the King's Birthday.

Gawn's 17 votes in the loss to Collingwood sees him surpass Zach Merrett and Patrick Cripps to be just two votes behind Nick Daicos, who did not poll in a game for the first time this year after being subbed out through injury and copping a heavy tag.

Roos co-captain Jy Simpkin managed a game-high 17 votes in his side's drought-breaking win over West Coast, with teammates Nick Larkey, Luke Davies-Uniacke and Tristan Xerri also polling well.

Despite half of the top 10 failing to poll a vote over the weekend, our leaderboard hasn't seen anyone break into the leading 10 players following Round 13.
