The AFL have confirmed the 40-player squad for this year's 22under22 side, with top-eight clubs Sydney and Fremantle leading the way with six and five representatives respectively.

Headlined by breakout midfielder Chad Warner, the Swans have been littered with young talent, with Nick Blakey, Errol Gulden, Tom McCartin, Justin McInerney and James Rowbottom also named in the squad.

Among the squad, Carlton gun Sam Walsh and Bulldogs forward Aaron Naughton are in the mix for their fourth selection into the 22-man side.

NAB Rising Star favourite Nick Daicos is also among the selections, with fellow emerging stars Jai Newcombe, Sam De Koning and Nic Martin also earning a nod.

West Coast were the only side to not have a player feature, while Geelong (De Koning), Essendon (Martin), GWS (Tom Green), Hawthorn (Newcombe), Richmond (Noah Balta), St Kilda (Max King) and North Melbourne (Bailey Scott) have one selection each.

The squad is made up of 11 defenders, 16 midfielders (4 wings), 11 forward (2 eligible as midfielders) and 2 ruckmen.
