The Swans will be looking to bounce back after their disappointing defeat in the grand final replay on Saturday night, going down to Geelong by 93-points, but may be bolstered by the return of some key players.

Lance Franklin hasn't featured for the Swans since Round 4, sidelined with a knee injury, while Dane Rampe (neck) and Tom McCartin (concussion) were also forced to watch from the sidelines, but may return this weekend.

Speaking to media on Wednesday ahead of Sydney's clash with GWS, Callum Mills said the trio hadn't been ruled out of making a Round 7 appearance.

"They're not ruled out, we'll see how this weekend goes but we can't say they're definitely playing as well," Mills said.

"We'll see how this week pans out and what happens there."

Tom Hickey featured in the VFL over the weekend and is getting closer to playing his first AFL game for the season, with Mills revealing he will be on the selection table.

"(Hickey) will put his hand up for selection," Mills said.

Paddy McCartin remains listed as TBC on the Swans' injury list as he recovers from suffering another concussion, with the Swans not putting a timeline on his potential return to the field.

"Paddy's one of my good mates so my care goes out to Paddy. His health is the main priority at this moment and we're all behind him," Mills explained.

Both Joel Amartey and Sam Reid will remain on the injury list for 8-10 weeks with respective hamstring injuries, while Robbie Fox (concussion) and Matt Roberts (knee) have been ruled out of the clash against the Giants.

Sydney will take on GWS on Saturday, April 29 at the SCG, scheduled for 2:10pm (AEST).
