Swans brothers Chad and Corey Warner have re-signed at Sydney for at least another three years, extending their contracts until the end of 2025.
The Swans have jumped at the chance to secure emerging superstar Chad Warner, who was named in this year's 44-man All-Australian squad in his third AFL season.
Chad Warner has become a bonafide AFL gun from just 36 career games thus far, also earning selection in the AFL Players’ Associations 22Under22 side for 2022 alongside Sydney teammates Nick Blakey and Tom McCartin.
Having been drafted from Perth to the Swans with Pick 39 in the 2019 AFL Draft, Warner said the decision to remain at Sydney was an easy one, especially after brother Corey joined the club last year.
"My off-field is really good here and having Corey and a lot of family over it’s great," he said.
"Just the consistency of the year, sticking to what works for me.
"I had a great pre-season here and over with the Claremont Tigers that really helped me. I wasn’t injured either, which was helpful.
"It’s a massive family vibe here and it helps us being together."
Sydney executive General Manager of Football Charlie Gardiner said Chad's re-signing was a great result for the young Swans outfit.
"From the first day he arrived at the club, Chad impressed us with his power, competitiveness and appetite for the contest," he said in a club statement.
"He is already an important part of our young midfield group and we’re looking forward to watching him continue to develop his game in the years ahead."
Chad has continued to impress onlookers this year, with a midfield bull-like attack on the ball akin to Swans veterans Luke Parker and the recently-retired Josh Kennedy.
In season 2022, he averages 23 disposals and 4.1 tackles per match, while he has kicked 17 goals from 21 outings.
Corey Warner, who is yet to make his AFL debut, is continuing his promising development through the VFL, after being taken at Pick 40 in last year's draft.
Just 18 years old, Corey has been playing a variety of roles in the reserves, also joining Matthew Roberts as another young Swan to recommit at the club.
"It’s great to have both Chad and Corey continue their journey in Sydney for the next three years," Gardiner continued.
"They are a wonderful family and both terrific young men – we’re confident they will both be significant contributors to the club in the years ahead."
