Lance Franklin and Kurt Tippet could come under scrutiny from the MRP for high hits in last night's 18 point loss to Richmond.
Franklin ran past the ball, opting to bump Shane Edwards, which resulted in the Tiger being knocked to the ground. Edwards was not concussed and got to his feet relatively quickly, which may work in Franklin's favour, but the contact was high and intentional, which the MRP do not look favorably upon.
Tippet's elbow to the head of Richmond defender Dylan Grimes was late, and high and also appeared very intentional. Grimes received a 50 meter penalty for the incident.
Both players were reported on the spot and are likely to receive at least two week bans, leaving the Sydney forward line severely undermanned.
