GWS has handed a one-year extension to talented youngster Harvey Thomas following an impressive start to his career, locking him away until the end of 2026.

Thomas was taken with Pick 59 in last year's National Draft and has made an immediate impact for Adam Kingsley's side, featuring in all 18 games in 2024.

Utilised as a significant part of the fleet of feet smalls alongside Brent Daniels, Toby Bedford and Darcy Jones in the 'Orange Tsunami', the Wagga Wagga product has been a special inclusion to the Giants and was recorded as the Round 14 Rising Star nominee.

GIANTS Executive General Manager of Football, Jason McCartney said the club is excited to extend Thomas' contract from the initial two-year deal he signed when drafted.

"Harvey has been exceptional since joining our club. His dedication to apply himself and get better and buy into the program has been evident since day one,โ€ McCartney said.

โ€œIt's been great to see his development through the GIANTS Academy and since joining the AFL program he's adapted seamlessly and is always eager to learn and become the best player he can be.

โ€œWe are thrilled to have him in a GIANTS jumper for at least two more years in what we view as a really exciting time for the footy club as we continue to strive for the ultimate team success.โ€

Thomas and the fifth-placed Giants will travel to the MCG to take on Melbourne in a highly-anticipated clash.
