Defenders Back Pocket: Rory Laird (Adelaide) Business as usual for Laird again this week, as he racked up 37 possessions, 17 contested and 10 intercept possessions. Full Back: Michael Hurley (Essendon) Had 29 disposals, nine intercept possessions along with eight rebound 50's, whilst keeping Port Adelaide to only one multiple goal scorer (Jack Watts 3.0). Back Pocket: Zach Tuohy (Geelong) Had a game high 29 disposals and looked to get the ball going forward at all times. Half Back: Elliot Yeo (West Coast) After a dismal display last week against the Cats, Yeo bounced back with a brilliant game off half back. 33 disposals, seven intercept possessions as well as five inside 50's and rebound 50's. Had five marks and only the three turnovers. Half Back: Callan Ward (GWS) In a different role this year, Ward has been playing more often across half back and its reaping rewards. Had 34 possessions along with eight score involvements. Centre Wing: Steele Sidebottom (Collingwood) Was unreal against the Crows with 43 possessions, 26 contested and seven tackles. Wing: Chris Masten (West Coast) After establishing himself back into West Coast's best 22, Masten produced his best game to date with a 2.1, 30 possession outing against the Suns. Forwards Half Forward: Shaun Higgins (North Melbourne) Best on the ground on Saturday night. 1.1, 35 disposals, half of them contested as well as nine score involvements. Centre Half Forward: Dustin Martin (Richmond) Playing basically as a CHF this week, Martin punished the Lions with 6.0 off 17 disposals, which meant a nearly a goal with every third possession! Half Forward: Brandon Parfitt (Geelong) Stepped up in the absence of Gary Ablett and performed just as well. 3.0 and 28 disposals in a best on ground performance. He doesn’t need a lot of the footy to hurt you, and that’s what happened against the Power. Only had the 13 disposals but hit the scoreboard with 4.1. Full Forward: Ben Brown (North Melbourne) Outscored the opposition 31-30 with his 5.1. Also had 17 disposals playing out of full forward. Forward Pocket: Luke Bruest (Hawthorn) Had the opening goal inside 20 seconds, and once Paul Puopolo and Cyril Rioli went down, he continued to flourish. Had the four goals along with 19 disposals. Also had nine tackles and six inside 50's. Followers Ruck: Brodie Grundy (Collingwood) 33 disposals and a goal for a ruckman is unheard of. Grundy had 23 contested possessions along with 40 hit outs. Ruck Rover: Adam Treloar (Collingwood) 10 score involvements for Treloar against the Crows was the highlight, along with his 36 possessions and 19 contested possessions. Rover: Jack Macrae (Western Bulldogs) Another 30+ disposal game for Macrae again this season. Went at 74 percent efficiency along with seven clearances. Trent Cotchin (Richmond) Although only the 26 possessions, Cotchin was at his damaging best. Had seven clearances along with nine inside 50's. Liam Shiels (Hawthorn) Challenged O'Meara for best on the ground. Stepped up with Tom Mitchell having a quiet(er) game. Shiels had an impressive 14 tackles, 31 disposals and 6 inside 50's.
