Jarryd Lyons

Here is another instance of Lyons making the Suns question their decision to delist Jarryd in 2018. It was another standout game for Lyons who came away with the Marcus Ashcroft Medal.

Finishing with 37 possessions, nine marks, nine clearances and seven score involvements, Lyons was unlucky to make the starting team. Most other weeks he would have made the starters, but it was a strong week for Followers.

Ben Cunnington

The Dairy farmer from country Victoria was at his intimidating best completing the midfield destruction of the Hawthorn. While just missing the starting squad, take nothing away from Cunnington's performance.

With 37 touches, 14 clearances 23 contested possessions, Cunnington provided grunt and toughness. This 'Shinboner Spirit 'helped the Kangaroos grind out their first win.

Tom Hickey

While versing Brodie Grundy can be a daunting task for any ruckman, Tom Hickey isn't just 'any ruckman'. The journeyman continues on his stellar season taking the honours in the battle of the rucks.

Finishing with 18 hit-outs, 19 touches and eight clearances, Hickey is providing good use for his Sydney teammates. Hickey is sure to have played himself into a contract extension for 2022 and beyond.

Christian Salem

Having a significant impact on the Melbourne defense, providing the spark and flair off the half-back. He has also been having a career-best year, looking like a real threat to make the All Australian Squad by the end of 2021.

Leading all Melbourne players with 29 disposals, Salem capped off the game with five intercepts and five score involvements.
