The first round of AFL pre-season matches is upon us, with eight games to take place across Thursday and Friday in what will be considered 'unofficial' matches.

Each game will be played under conditions agreed by both clubs, with some games consisting of up to six periods, while time will only be added to one match.

Teams will also be released by each club individually across the course of the week.

Here we'll cover each club's team list for the opening week of pre-season matches as they're named...

*GWS and the Western Bulldogs have decided not to partake in an unofficial pre-season match
