Sydney star Chad Warner has spoken on his future, noting he'll eventually sit down with his partner to decide what their future holds amid expected interest from Western Australian clubs.
This week it was revealed that Warner turned down an offer to extend his career with the Swans beyond the 2025 season, with West Coast confirming they'll be keen to bring the 23-year-old back to his home state if Warner desired a move at the end of his current contract.
Discussion and speculation surrounding Warner have ignited given his stellar rise to form in recent weeks, with the East Fremantle product rivalling Brownlow favourite and teammate Isaac Heeney's efforts.
The goal-kicking midfielder is a priority re-signing for the Swans despite his deal not expiring for at least another year, with any uncertainty remaining between the two parties set to spark high levels of interest from both the Eagles and Fremantle.
Quizzed on his future by 10 News Perth, Warner said he is focused on winning a premiership with Sydney and will eventually assess his future alongside his girlfriend Alice.
"I'm loving it over (in New South Wales)," Warner said from Western Australia, where he is visiting during the club's mid-season bye week. "I've got plenty of time at the Swans, so it's going to be great.
"That time will come when myself and my girlfriend want to decide whatever we want to do with our future.
"Not at this stage [am I looking to return to WA], to be honest. I'm enjoying the position and the window that we're in to win the premiership. That's all I'm concerned about, winning a 'granny' with this stacked team."
While the Eagles noted this week that they "would love to have him play" in the royal blue and gold, the Dockers have played a straight bat when questioned on a potential play for the WA star.
Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir was only full of praise for Warner, but wouldn't comment on the level of the club's interest in the Swans star.
"He's definitely in unbelievable form," the Dockers boss told 7 News Perth.
"I think the thing lost in all the articles that have come out is the fact he's still got 18 months to go on a contract.
"We'll just let that one be for the moment."
Warner is in his fifth season with the Swans and has managed top-five best-and-fairest finishes in his past two campaigns, including a runner-up effort in 2022.
The energetic onballer currently sits equal sixth on Zero Hanger's MVP leaderboard after Round 11, having polled 106 for the year so far - 45 votes behind leader Heeney.
