Throughout the history of the AFL, there have been champions and then there have been the unfortunate teams who never quite climbed to the top of the mountain.
The Zero Hanger team have identified and ranked the best 10 teams to never win a flag since 2000.

6. 2015 Fremantle
Yes, the Dockers made the Grand Final in 2013, but the Dockers finished the 2015 season on top of the ladder, winning 17 games from 22 starts. They got to the Preliminary Final, where they were eventual premiers Hawthorn travelled to Perth and took the Dockers out.
There was much to love about this team. The Midfield was stacked, lead by Brownlow Medallist Nat Fyfe, and then a strong support cast of Lachie Neale, David Mundy, Stephen Hill and Michael Barlow also playing strong footy throughout the year.
They were in the top two in the competition for conceding scores. Luke McPharlin was as solid as a rock in defence and had good help from the likes of Garrick Ibbotson, Lee Spurr and Cam Sutcliffe. They arenโt stars of the competition, but they were tremendous role players that did the job most weeks.
Matthew Pavlich kicked 40 goals for the season and Michael Walters kicked 44 goals for the year to mirror his 2013 season. They also had strong pressure forwards such as Chris Mayne and Hayden Ballantyne in this side.
