Throughout the history of the AFL, there have been champions and then there have been the unfortunate teams who never quite climbed to the top of the mountain.
The Zero Hanger team have identified and ranked the best 10 teams to never win a flag since 2000.

Without further ado, here are our 10 best AFL teams to never win a premiership since 2000.
5. 2016 GWS Giants
They were pretty unlucky not to win the Preliminary Final, but there had to be a winner and a loser. If theyโd gotten over the Doggies, then you could argue that theyโd handle the Swans as swiftly as they did in the qualifying final that year.
GWSโ forward line that year was bloody scary. Jeremy Cameron kicked 53 goals, then there was Toby Greene and Steve Johnson, both of whom kicked over 40 goals that season as well, with Jon Patton not too far behind on 38.
The midfield had a perfect blend of experience and youth. Tom Scully, Callan Ward and Ryan Griffen the veteran heads, as well as the kids Josh Kelly, Dylan Shiel, Lachie Whitfield and Stephen Coniglio finally coming into their own.
Letโs not forget about the backs either, because there was some decent talent on offer there as well. Phil Davis the proverbial brick wall, Zac Williams the running machine and Nick Haynes still intercepting everything in sight.
