The league's 22under22 squad was released this week, reigniting the debate of which young gun is the hottest property across all 18 clubs.

Labelled a star from his first game after booting three goals and collecting eight contested possessions in his stellar role against the Demons.

Many were quick to draw comparisons to one Jason Akermanis, proving just how exciting this kid can be.

Players like Rankine don't come around too often, with a great balance of pace, accuracy and power adding to produce one of the league's most exciting forwards.
