Who has the most to gain from winning the flag this year?

Everyone who receives that elusive premiership medallion gets to relish in one of the greatest achievements of their life, but the legacy boost means more to a particular few.

Some have toiled away at their club for years on end, racking up accolades upon accolades without the ultimate glory.

For other it's a numbers game; adding a second, third or fourth flag to take their career legacy to new heights.

The storylines are endless among the four teams remaining, players and coaches everywhere with statements to make and reputations to build.

We look at 10 names on this list with the most to gain from winning the AFL premiership in two weeks' time, counting down to an obvious number one, but starting with...

7. Chris Scott

With two flags to his coaching career already, there's not much left to prove for Geelong's senior coach, but a third flag would take him past Damien Hardwick in the coaching legacy ranks in the eyes of many.

Three premierships, four grand finals and over 30 finals across 14 seasons might be the more impressive tenure, compared to Hardwick's three-in-four dynasty.

Widely regarded as the best current AFL coach, a triumphant 2024 campaign takes Scott into the realms of Mick Malthouse and John Kennedy.
