Now that footy is over for the season, the focus turns to the circus that is trade period.

With clubs looking to make deals in quite possibly the most important trade period in recent memory, here are the 10 most interesting out-of-contract players.

7. Jed Anderson

The North Melbourne midfielder reportedly was reportedly on his way to signing a new deal with the club, however Essendon great Matthew Lloyd thinks that the Blues should be in for him.

Speaking on AFL Media,ย Lloyd linked the 26-year-old to David Teague's side.

โ€œHe is as tough as nails and I heard he hasnโ€™t got a contract yet, heโ€™s just sorting through it.

โ€œHe is someone, he is an absolute bull, and in the right environment I think he could be the perfect fit for Carlton."

Anderson averaged 21 disposals, five tackles and 3.5 inside 50's per match this year, and would be an impressive addition to a Blues midfield that is already beefing up.
