Now that footy is over for the season, the focus turns to the circus that is trade period.

With clubs looking to make deals in quite possibly the most important trade period in recent memory, here are the 10 most interesting out-of-contract players.

6. Quinton Narkle

Narkle has had a stunted time at the Cats since he was drafted in the 2016 national draft.

In season 2020, the on-baller featured in only 5 games, and hasn't played over six games in any given season.

Speaking on AFL Trade Radio,ย Mitch Cleary said that the Cats were waiting to see if they had room in their salary cap to offer Narkle a new deal.

โ€œHeโ€™s just waiting and been told to wait until list sizes and salary caps are finalised, North Melbourne may come in and say we rate you as the 15-20th best player on our list."

โ€œThe longer it gets dragged out, the longer a player like Quinton Narkle would look around at his options and look to secure himself."

Sam Edmund has said that if he does choose to leave Geelong, he would ultimately like to move to a Melbourne club.
