We have already had our 2021 All-Australian team predicted, and now we have shifted our gaze to the names that could find themselves being tailored for a gaudy jacket by season's end.

Some of this group have lengthy resumes and can count themselves rigor mortis stiff not to have already cracked a nomination for the national side. Whilst others are budding stars, set to once again put their best feet forward.

From the dubious to the near on locks, here are the 10 players that appear best placed to end 2021 with their first All-Australian selection.

As always, let us know who we have missed.

8. Tim Taranto

As the rush to buy Giants' stocks has well and truly dissipated, the simultaneous surge to purchase shares in Tim Taranto has begun.

Originally selected with the second pick of the 2016 Draft, the GWS midfielder has begun to consistently hit his stride.

After 74 games in an orange guernsey, Taranto's disposal average currently sits at 21.99 from these contests. Now 23 and with a starting slot in Leon Cameron's engine room, many pundits have predicted 2021 to be the year that the Victorian takes his game to the next level.

With selection in the 22under22 squads in 2019 and 2020, this season could be the first year that Taranto dines with the league's best.
