Richmond

Are they still the team to beat?

Succinctly, yes.

If you have won three of the past four Premierships and only lost a single game since the beginning of August last year, you deserve the title of league leaders.

As has become the contemporary custom, Richmond began their season by both beating Carlton and unfurling a pennant, and with clashes against Hawthorn and Sydney across the next fortnight, you are likely to be offered short odds for Richmond remaining unbeaten after Round 3.

Until a team is able to topple the Tigers in September, or at the very least beat them twice in a season โ€“ a feat that has not been achieved since the beginning of 2017, then the heavyweight belt will be remaining at Punt Road.
