Another week and another set of winners and losers.

Richmond

Have they shifted out of second gear yet?

When running an eye over the numbers of Richmond's 25 and 29-point victories to start their Premiership defense, they haven't really been challenged.

This theory becomes concrete upon understanding that Richmond has been in front of the scoreboard for upwards of 85% of their 240-minute-long season.

The Tiger's ability to either create or stretch leads at ease in final quarters also points to their cohesion and fitness as a unit โ€“ that and three of the last four Premiership flags.

Like Port Adelaide, Richmond's season is set to turn up a notch over the next month when the face Sydney, St. Kilda, Melbourne and the Power themselves.

Damien Hardwick's Punt Road heroes have long been the benchmark team of the competition, but with the speed limit set to rise once they hit the MCG on Saturday afternoon, they will need to have their paws placed on the gearstick eventually.
