With the โhit and giggle' matches and the arduous pre-season training regimes now behind each team, fans, coaches, and players alike have set their sights on the real deal โ Round 1.
For some clubs, the pre-season period could not have panned out better, whilst the unlucky remainder will be counting the cost of their campaigns.
Although there were a myriad of positives to be taken from the summer months, all teams will be striving to improve on their practice match form and learn from the lessons dealt out across them.
With the first bounce of the Sherrin just over a week away, we raise the big question that face each of the AFL's 18 clubs.
Brisbane
What does Joe Daniher offer Brisbane?
Standing at over 200 centimetres and tipping the scales at just shy of 100 kilograms, Joe Daniher cuts an imposing figure.
It is obvious that is contested marking ability and his propensity to slot the big sticks were the reasons why the Lions were keen to land the key forward in the trade period, but what else does Daniher offer his new club?
Brisbane began Monday night's contest at Carrara with both their new recruit and their key kid Eric Hipwood in the forward fifty. When the final siren sounded on their 28-point win, the pair had combined for four goals straight.
Joe Daniher taking big marks and kicking goals in Brisbane colours... it'll take a while to get used to.

Although the sample size is small, it is obvious that the former Bomber's inclusion has afforded Chris Fagan options for how to run his forward line.
With Daniher standing one out inside 50, the 23-year-old Hipwood was allowed to roam up the ground in an effort to get his hands on the ball. Daniher's presence also offered the fledgling forward security โ something that he lacked last season.
Despite the early stages of their new relationship, the pair worked well in tandem, with Oscar McInerney also providing another tall target.
The one knock on Daniher's game is the same one that haunted the Lions last season โ inaccuracy in front of goal. However, with just one blot on the pair's copy book against the Suns and a combined eight majors in their scratch match, Brisbane fans will be hoping the trend continues.
