With the โhit and giggle' matches and the arduous pre-season training regimes now behind each team, fans, coaches, and players alike have set their sights on the real deal โ Round 1.
For some clubs, the pre-season period could not have panned out better, whilst the unlucky remainder will be counting the cost of their campaigns.
Although there were a myriad of positives to be taken from the summer months, all teams will be striving to improve on their practice match form and learn from the lessons dealt out across them.
With the first bounce of the Sherrin just over a week away, we raise the big question that face each of the AFL's 18 clubs.
Gold Coast
Is their midfield set in stone?
Any footy fan worth their salt is aware of how damaging Gold Coast's engine room is set to be in years to come.
Despite losing to the Lions on Monday night, Stuart Dew's midfield group performed admirably against stiff opposition.
Although failing to be named in the Sun's best, future stars Matt Rowell, Noah Anderson, and Will Brodie all effected contests on the night.
The trio attended 55 centre bounces against the Lions, so it is clear that Dew is set to give his kids first crack at the ball once again.
Final CBA's - Rowell 23, Anderson 17, Greenwood 16, and Brodie 15. Neale 28, Lyons 16, and Berry, McCarthy and McCluggage 11. #SuperCoach #AFLFantasy #AAMISeries

When this trifecta of talented youngsters are combined with names like Hugh Greenwood, Lachie Weller and Touk Miller, Gold Coast's midfield appears both strong on paper and set for Round 1.
Draftees Alex Davies and the injured Elijah Hollands may spend time in the centre throughout the year, but expect the six previous names to be hovering below ruckman Jarrod Witts for the most part.
