The Carlton Draft has announced the five local football clubs that will welcome a host of former AFL legends for one-off matches in 2025.

In its fourth edition, the Carlton Draft was designed to support local footy, helping drive crowd numbers and providing a much-needed financial boost.

This year's clubs will get the chance to have Tom Hawkins, Brett Deledio, Matthew Pavlich, Travis Cloke and Will Schofield to feature for them.

This year will be the first time clubs were picked outside of Victoria, expanding the search across the entire nation.

The five selected clubs with a pick in this year's Carlton Draft are:

  • Beaufort Football Netball Club - Central Highlands Football League, Victoria
  • Hill End & Grove Rovers Football Netball Club - Mid Gippsland Football Netball League, Victoria
  • Heathmere Football Netball Club โ€“ South West Football Netball League, Victoria
  • Coleambally Football Netball Club - Farrer Football League, New South Wales
  • Beverley Redbacks Football Netball Club - Avon Football & Netball Association, Western Australia

This year saw 150 clubs register for the chance to receive a selection in the draft, which will be held on Wednesday, April 30 at The Sporting Globe in Richmond, before the matchdays commence.

The 2025 Carlton Draft playing pool comprises:

"The Carlton Draft is all about giving back to the local footy clubs and communities, so for it to be able to expand outside of Victoria and into Western Australia and New South Wales is a huge step forward for the campaign," The Carlton Draft Commissioner and Brisbane legend Jonathan Brown said.

"We've got some excited clubs who are itching to select their draftee, I can't wait to see the campaign come to life for another edition."

Previous players like Matthew Lloyd, Isaac SmithTrent Cotchin and Leigh Montagna have featured in years gone by.
