The Western Bulldogs are the latest club to join the race for GWS midfielder James Peatling's signature.

Peatling is being courted by a quartet of clubs, with St Kilda, Melbourne, West Coast and Collingwood already showing significant interest in the 24-year-old.

Now the Bulldogs have expressed their desire to lure him to the Kennel, according toย Channel 7's Mitch Cleary.

"Not many footy fans would've heard of a couple weeks ago is James Peatling," Cleary said.

"He's had a really strong last six weeks of the season.

"Out of contract and has a deal to stay at the Giants.

"A host of Victorian clubs lining up for him. I understand the Dogs are the latest club to show interest in James Peatling.

"He will be another name to keep an eye on."

GWS coach Adam Kingsley spoke on Channel 7'sย Talkin Footyย about the prospect of Peatling, along with Isaac Cumming and Harry Perryman potentially departing the club.

"Yeah I am (confident they will stay)," Kingsley said.

"All three are vital to the way we're playing at the moment and so we are confident that we can retain all of them.

"They have had some really strong seasons.

"They are very important to us."

Brent Daniels and Ryan Angwin were the latest Giants to recommit to the future of the club.

Kingsley and his men are preparing for Saturday's qualifying final against Sydney at the SCG.
