Supercoach for the 2024 AFL season is open, with fans beginning to select their first draft teams ahead of another competitive year.
Coaches will start to find the best balance of premiums, rookies, PODS and dual position players ahead of Opening Round, which is now just over a month away.
At the time of writing, 2023 No.1 draft selection Harley Reid is the most selected player in Supercoach, with 74% of teams having included the midfield-forward option ahead of his highly-anticipated first season.
The next-highest selected player is Sydney recruit Brodie Grundy, who starts the year at a mouth-watering price of $481,900 and in 68% of teams after an up-and-down year at Melbourne.
Grundy sits ahead of ex-teammate Max Gawn in the top-picked ruck group, with Reid leading the forwards and midfielders, while returning Carlton backman Zac Williams (61%) is the No.1 pick defender.
North Melbourne rookie Colby McKercher is the top-picked midfielder among those without DPP status, coming in at 62%.
McKercher comes ahead of fellow top draftee and Tasmanian Ryely Sanders (55%) and Fremantle recruit Jeremy Sharpย (51%) among full-time midfielders, with Carlton's Sam Walsh (36%) the highest-selected premium midfielder.
Western Bulldogs star Jack Macrae is in 52% of teams, most likely thanks to his dual position status as a midfield-forward.
