It happens every season, players get traded for nothing or let go by clubs who deemed them unworthy of a spot on their list, only for them to turn their careers around or fire in a new environment.

For the purposes of this exercise, we're talking exclusively about players who were delisted or basically pushed out of their clubs, so big names like Joe Daniher don't apply here given the Dons would have gladly kept him.

We take a look at a handful of players who are showing their old clubs just what they're missing out on!

5. Tom Hickey

Pick a club, any club. He's played for a few. They could all probably use him now but the ones who really could do with his ruck work at the moment are the Saints and the Suns, both clubs have suffered injuries to key ruckmen that have left them exposed on certain parts of the ground.

For the Saints, it's up forward, as Paddy Ryder Rohan Marshall swayed in and out of match fitness. For the Suns, it's at the centre bounces and around the ground where they were literally playing without a ruckman.

Though Hickey's had a few injuries this season, and in fairness, no one could have predicted how well he'd be playing this season, there's no arguing that two of his former clubs would love to have him back, just check their picks at the Mid-Season Draft.
