With 2021 set to possess a record number of free agents, a plethora of young guns rising through the ranks and more cut-throat list decisions, the season ahead of us spells 'make or break' campaigns for many players across the AFL.
Collectively, we have analysed the one name at every club that is facing a critical season that could see their career go down the right or wrong path.
Fremantle
Connor Blakely
Once aligned as a prominent ball-winner at the Dockers, Blakely's career looks to be facing a unsightly slope ahead of his seventh season in purple.
Coach Justin Longmuir pressed the need for Blakely to improve on his defensive mindset in order to break into Fremantle's senior side last season, a campaign that saw him feature in on just the five occasions.
Blakely's flexibility between the midfield and defense offers value to Longmuir, but he will be up against a competitive engine room and defensive incumbents returning from injuries in 2021.
