McGrath is a very good player already, let's not be mistaken. But he needs to make the step to elite midfield if the Bombers are to make a serious charge for the top eight. McGrath has recently made the move from half back and now spends more time on ball and he needs to become one of if not Essendon's stand-out midfielder.
